The Los Angeles Angels continue to strengthen themselves ahead of the 2023 Major League Baseball season, acquiring Hunter Renfroe in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers received right-handers Janson Junk and Elvis Peguero and minor league left-hander Adam Seminaris in the trade.

The Angels add Renfroe to one of the most fearsome lineups in Major League Baseball, pairing him with Mike Trout, shohei ohtani and Anthony Rendon. In addition, the team adds another outfielder to the core of Trout, Taylor Ward, Mickey Moniak and Jo Adell.

“I think we’re better now. The job isn’t done though. We still have areas to improve. Little by little we’re getting better,” Angels general manager Perry Minasian said.

Renfroe is coming off a good season in which he posted a .255/.315/.492 offensive line with 29 home runs, 23 doubles, 72 RBIs and an .807 OPS. He is projected to earn $11.2 million in 2022 in salary arbitration to be a free agent heading into the 2024 season.

The Angels also added lefty Tyler Anderson days ago to a 3-year, $39 million contract, also acquiring Colombian third baseman gio urshela.
